Maryann LeClair
Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor
Maryann earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Webster University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan. She combines her professional training as a counselor with Biblical principles. Maryann approaches her counseling practice with a specific mission: to help people find the freedom to be who God created them to be. Oftentimes, this requires a great deal of courage to heal our hearts and minds and break unhealthy cycles. She feels honored to walk alongside anyone who wants to do this life-changing work.
Maryann works with adults, adolescents, and families with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, grief/loss, life transitions, trauma and abuse, self-esteem, and spiritual concerns. She utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral approach to counseling. In addition, she approaches therapy with the perspective that our past matters because it affects who we are today and is the lens through which we see the world. Her goal is to not just understand the current stressors or life struggles, but to understand how they link to the things in our past that keep us stuck in the same patterns in our life and in our relationships.
While Maryann takes great joy in her work, her greatest blessing is sharing her life with her husband, Ed. They have two adult sons and three grandchildren, whom they love spending time with. Maryann has a passion for travel, loves to read, and to go for walks with her Goldendoodle, Murphy.
Maryann is under the supervision of Tamra Barbosa - Mo License #2002020618
